APA SPECTACULAR

We are excited to announce that Student Success Commons' writing and science tutor, Sue Zimmer, will again be holding awesome APA workshops; 4 sessions are available to choose from!

Sue will give an overview of APA citation work, discuss creating a reference list and in-text citations, using NoodleTools, organizing sources, and how to get extra help when you need it. Sue will also share a sample APA paper and APA tip sheet that you can take away for later reference. Any student who has to write a paper in APA format, no matter the class, will want to attend this workshop!

Whether you choose to attend a Zoom session or an on-campus session, the presentation should take about 1 hour. There’s no pressure during this APA spectacular; just get the info you need, ask questions if you have them, and take away some helpful resources you can use in the future! • Wednesday 3/29 at 9:00am via Zoom (the Zoom link will be sent to your YCCC student email approximately 1 week in advance)

• Wednesday 3/29 4:00pm on campus in the Student Success Commons. Come hungry for knowledge and brownies and pizza because all 3 will be available!

• Thursday 3/30 1:00pm on campus in the Student Success Commons. If the sweet smell of success isn't enough to bring you in, maybe the sweet smell of our free brownies will. 

• Thursday 3/30 4:00pm via Zoom  (the Zoom link will be sent to your YCCC student email approximately 1 week in advance)

EPIC Spring Semester Wrap-Up EVENT

This epic event, to be held Thursday, May 4th, from 3:00-5:00pm, is open to all students. Drop into the SSC for support wrapping up your writing and research assignments, prep for your final math tasks, and get some time management support. All students welcome, no appointments necessary! This is your chance to tie up any loose ends and finish off the spring semester successfully. This epic event will also include a week-long Kahoot! game that covers a variety of Student Success Commons topics. Prizes will be awarded to participating students while supplies last!
