CARE Team

The CARE (Coordination, Assessment, Response and Education) Team at York County Community College exists to assist with situations that could potentially disrupt a student's academic, educational or social wellbeing.  We hope to intervene early when possible, to help support the student.  The cross departmental team reviews individual cases and coordinates an appropriate action plan for response.

OBJECTIVES of the CARE Team:

  • To aide in the cultivation of a college wide culture of communication, collaboration and proactive intervention.
  • To provide holistic intervention and resource referral to ensure students have the tools they need to be successful both at York County and in their lives.
  • To promote a safe educational environment for students, staff, faculty, and our community.
  • To further educate the York County community on best practices related to identifying and managing disruptive or harmful student behavior.
