When is tutoring available?

Email szimmer@mainecc.edu to schedule an appointment for science tutoring between Monday 9:00am and Friday 12:00pm. For physics tutoring please email kcole@mainecc.edu. For chemistry tutoring please email mpiecuch@yccc.edu or drop by the SSC Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am-12:00pm!

How long is a tutoring appointment?

Tutoring appointments with Sue are up to one hour long each. Students may book a maximum of one appointment per week. If you are interested in more that one appointment per week please contact Sue.

Who qualifies for tutoring?

Any student currently enrolled in a science class at YCCC for which we offer tutoring qualifies..

I'm going to take a science class in an upcoming semester. Can I get tutoring to prepare?

No: regular tutoring is reserved for students currently taking science. However, if you're planning to take a science class we encourage you to stop by the SSC to meet the tutors, and recommend you connect with your student success coach to enquire about the resources that may benefit you.
