Library Services

Welcome to the Library at York County Community College: your gateway to knowledge, discovery, and academic success.

The YCCC Library, part of the Student Success Commons, is open to students, faculty, staff, and residents of York County. It offers 6,000 items including books, DVDs, and CDs. The library also has a collection of databases featuring online encyclopedias, journals, magazines, newspapers, videos, eBooks, and more. In addition, YCCC is a member of Minerva, a statewide library consortium that grants free access to more than 6 million library resources through its Interlibrary Loan service.

The library is located on the YCCC Main Campus, room 201 in the Student Success Commons, 112 College Drive, Wells, Maine  04090. The library hours are:

• Monday through Thursday, on campus and online: 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Fridays, online only: 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Saturdays and Sundays: Closed

Meet your librarian! 

Wendy West, our wonderful librarian, has a background in alternative education, wooden boat building, the National Park Service, and working in Maine's public libraries.

With a passion for connecting people to the resources they seek and empowering them to develop and expand their own information-locating skills, Wendy believes that libraries truly make the world a better place.

As a collaborative professional and lifelong learner, she is committed to the library as a tool for creating connection, enriching lives, and sustaining social justice. In this role, Wendy hopes to spread her enthusiasm for information literacy by being a dynamic presence in both the library and classroom settings.

Outside of those environments, she can be found near, on, or in the water as well as in the woods with her dog, Arlo.
