Program learning outcomes (PLO’s) are statements of the specific skills, knowledge, and/or behaviors that students will demonstrate upon completion of an academic program at YCCC. Successful program assessment begins with clear and specific learning outcomes that state what students will know or be able to do when they graduate. All program learning outcomes, accompanied by a curriculum map and assessment plan, are approved by Assessment Committee. All PLOs are assessed on a 5-year cycle and results are presented to the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees at a comprehensive program review. |
