Course (or student) learning outcomes are the specific skills, knowledge, and/or behaviors that students should demonstrate upon completion of the course. Effective objectives are states in terms of student performance (i.e. what will a student do as a result of the instruction?) rather than teacher performance, learning process, or subject matter topics.
Course learning outcomes are included in course outlines, developed by faculty and approved by the Curriculum Committee.
