The Student Success Commons at York County Community College: CIS 118 (Information Technology Fundamentals)

This course provides an overview of the Information Technology field. Topics include pervasive themes in IT, application domains, history of IT and related disciplines, social and organizational contexts, computer hardware, web design, programming, operating systems, application software, security, and the principles of networks. Hands–on exercises will allow the student to explore the various activities of the profession.
